A Lincoln police officer has been placed on administrative leave after he was caught on camera in a video allegedly firing his weapon while on the job.
The video of the incident, posted to Facebook on Wednesday, shows a Lincoln police patrol car parked in the street.
The officer is seen sitting in the front passenger seat, next to the car, and appears to be in his personal car.
A bystander can be heard saying “gun” in response.
“He’s on the way,” a voice can be seen saying.
“He’s not doing anything.
He’s parked his car.”
Lincoln police Chief Robert Allen says the department will review the video.
The chief says the officer was acting within the scope of his duties.
