Laredos Police Department cast has departed for Florida, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The Los Angeles Police Department will take over the Laredoe Police Department.
The department will have an acting chief, the Los Angelenos Times reported.
The news comes after the Los Angles Times reported the LAPD had hired a former Laredose police chief and a former LAPD detective to serve as acting chief.
In the article, the LPD said it has hired former LASD Sgt. Scott Mielke as acting director.
Mielkes joined the LASPD as a full-time officer in September 2015, and he has been assigned to acting director since December 2016.
LASDs acting director will be appointed by Los Angeles City Councilmember David Campos, who chairs the council’s Public Safety Committee.
The LAPD is not commenting on the resignation of Mielike.
The former LAPD chief has been the subject of several internal investigations, including allegations that he sexually harassed an employee and that he ignored a departmental directive to take action against a former supervisor who sexually harassed him.
